There is a 40% chance of rain. Today is fairly warm though. It should be around 80 degrees farenheit by 12:30 pm which is post time. 12:30 pm - It started to rain around 10:00 am, but stopped before the running of the Fountain of Youth. The dirt track was starting to dry, but now it has just started to rain again. Will this shower of rain affect our competitors in any way? Here is the track announcer Sasha, with the call: They begin the parade, this small field of extra special young Thoroughbreds, all eager to display their talent! Despite the rain and annoyance of it, we have no problems loading! And they're off with a dash! All American Boy & Amazon Flame break clean, rallying for an early lead and that coveted inside position! A gasp goes up as Cold Wave trips out of the gate and staggers towards Desire For Magic! But this filly is fast and is gone before disaster can strike! Cold Wave regains himself as CS Tropical Class follows behind, trapped on the outside! This rain is making for some bad times as they all slather through the mud. All American Boy struggles for his lead as Amazon Flame again burns out early. The chestnut colt falls behind further and further as Cold Wave surges up, desperately trying to make up for his trip. Desire For Magic shows these colts what it's all about as she dashes past them, seeming to find her way through this muck easily. But wait! Here comes CS Tropical Class, burning the track with a vigor he seems to have lacked his past two races! He charges past, over-taking all four contendors and swerving to the inside lane! All American Boy falls even further behind, exhaustion setting in as Cold Wave & Desire For Magic battle for the position behind CS Tropical Class! The wire is fast approaching and nothing is going to catch this colt! He charges under the wire, two amazing lengths ahead after his last performances with the girls screaming as Desire For Magic surges ahead and Cold Wave is left to bit her dust for the show! All American Boy finds his energy to charge home only scant feet behind Cold Wave, with Amazon Flame loping home a disappointing five lengths behind All American Boy. ------------------------------------------------- RESULTS WIN: 5.
