Show me the Money gives no trouble, but Madame Toubinski snorts and refuses for a while. Silver Lining and Moon Dance Eclips have no trouble. And they're off! Its Madame Toubinski making her usual early bid, with Flame Dancer and Silver Lining on her tail! Golden's Local Star and Run for the Money are neck and neck, with Moonlight trapped behind them, and Show me the Money on her outside, and Moon Dance Eclips bringing up the rear. Moonlight seems frustrated at being trapped, but she can't do anything, she's boxed in. Positions are held around the back stretch, and now as they enter the last turn, everyone is making their move! It's Golden's Local Star with the lead now, Run for the Money right behind and Madame Toubinski dropped back into third. Moonlight has found an opening and coming up fast, with Show me the Money right behind her, Silver Lining on their heels. Flame Dancer is left behind in seventh, with Moon Dance Eclips still trailing the others. And as they sweep under the wire, Silver Lining just barely takes the Hilltop Stakes by a hair on his muzzle! Run for the Money maintaining his second, with Flame Dancer making a too-late run. Show me the Money a length back, and Golden's Local Star somewhat burnt out. Moon Dance Eclips never kicked in, she's in sixth, with Madame Toubinski a neck behind. Moonlight bringing up the rear. Perfect Unage settles in third, LĄŻEcurieul right behind him, with Scorching Might unable to make his usual early lead. Better than Gold behind him, and CJS Purple Heaven off a beat slow! Pure Perfection takes control in the clubhouse turn, but Scorching Might finding an early stride and edging up in second! L'Ecurieul in third, Better Than Gold behind him, and Match Maker dropped back into fifth. CJS Purple Heaven blocked in sixth, with Perfect Unage dropping back and trailing the pack. Positions shift a bit going down the backstretch, with Scorching Might and Pure Perfection battling for top honour, and the rest of the field more or less maintaining, with quite a few individual speed duels ongoing. And, as they enter the final stretch, it's now L'Ecurieul in the the lead, with Scorching Might holding on to a second! Perfect Unage has found his best stride and is whirling after them, with CJS Purple Heaven not to be left behind! Pure Perfection and Match Maker right behind the filly, with Better than Gold trailing. Pure Perfection and Match Maker make a late run, and steal the lead! And they're under the wire!
